Puzzle League and Code Updates

Konnichiwa. Just wanted to let people know that there are new codes on the Codes page, and people should let me know if they need to have their codes updated.

Last week, L joined us from NY to play some Planet Puzzle League. It's called Panel de Pon in Japan, and you can find a glowing review of it at GameSpy. There are of course colored blocks in this puzzle game, but what you get to do with them in PPL is where it gets interesting. The objective is to put three or more blocks of the same color together by only shifting blocks horizontally. Though you can't move them vertically, blocks will drop if you move them to a space where there is no block underneath. Since whenever you succeed at your objective, shit disappears, ultimately, lots of blocks are dropping in this game, which leads to the game's most satisfying mechanic, chaining.

It's late, I'm too tired to explain the intricacies, so I leave with a Tube of a pretty disgusting chaining run. I don't know if there are a lot of PPL players who can pull that shit off, but I wouldn't be surprised since this game is actually very old, SNES old.
