When Bored, I Recommend Grooming

Just got back from another week long stint in Makurazaki, or the coastal dive that is so boring, all I do there is shave my balls.

The new Zelda DS game dropped, Phantom Hourglass, and I had to pick it up out of curiosity and just the raw desire to see what they did to return the series back to its classic top-down dungeon crawling roots. I have only spent about 20 minutes with it, but it is surprisingly fun. The control is almost entirely stylus-based, yet it doesn't feel slow or sluggish. Although a relatively simple feature, the ability to draw on your map to mark and note anything you'd like really makes the game feel immersive. The visuals are taken from the Windwaker and I think they are a good fit. I have one more week next month in Makurazaki before I am done with my current job, and now I'm pretty sure I won't have to just shave my balls.

We are in the midst of what the locals call the rainy season, a month-long state of rain for 4-5 days a week. So far I think it has been light, but the mugginess of the tropical weather and living next to a volcano is not all that pleasant. In times of such dire straits, I turn to my new BIG ASS fridge to console me with abundant food and chilled beverages all day long.
