We had a healthy turnout last week. Alex came on for some game, we played some 4P Tetris because that was the only game he had. Hehe.
Tetris is quite frankly, probably the most phenomenal wifi game for the DS right now. I have a personal soft spot for the innovation that is Metroid Prime: Hunters, but Tetris, without a doubt is the most accessible, yet deep and competitive online game in the current DS library. We play it a lot since it is easy to start up and you can play it in short bursts. There is no lag and most people stay on for more games when the block dropping is tight. Lauren agrees with me though about the only disappointment in Tetris DS, the lack of any form of communication during or between play. Basic text messaging would have been nice, but voice chat between games like Metroid would have been exactly what the doctor ordered.
In any case, Lauren won most of the time because she is quite a beast at Tetris, been playing since the very first Gameboy. Three of us teamed up, and that was a bit of an overkill, but Marc and Alex as one team and Lauren and I on our own seemed to be pretty balanced. Yea, you two need to improve the block dropping chops.
Hopefully, Alex will get another game, like Mario Kart DS. I'm hankering for some 4P racing.
Thanks to all who came out to play.
